    Louis Smith is the principal of Mircotecture founded in 2006.  The firm’s approach to design is non-traditional and focuses heavily on exploring the cultural values of the client. This emphasis on cultural meaning has developed into a philosophy called ‘Poetic Architecture”.  Louis has a Masters in Architecture from Lawrence Institute of Technology.  NCARB certified, Louis is a registered architect licensed in both Michigan and North Carolina.  He has published and lectured extensively.
