STUDY FINDS MORE AMERICANS SEEKING WALKABLE COMMUNITIES
A new survey from the National Association of Realtors finds that Americans prefer walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods.
The 2011 Community Preference Survey asks what Americans are looking for when deciding where to live. Analysis of responses from 2,071 American adults shows that walkable neighborhoods offer surprising benefits to our health and families. For Full 2011 Survey Report

We we proud to share a booth with Long Island Center for Independent Living ( LICIL) represented by Dr. Mark Miller and Kadijah Foster of Suffolk Independent Living Organization ( SILO). We distributed valuable information on accessible housing options and incorporating Universal Design features.
